Can't believe I lived right next to them for 8 years and never tried them until moved and a friend brought some over!! Holy cow their pizza is the bomb.com !!! No joke! the crust is perfect and the cheese is amazing! The right amount of cheese and sauce ratio!! Thank Goodness I still live in the area not far away where I still get pizza from them! it was love at first sight and my new takeout pizza place.

New to the neighborhood, I've been seeking out my go-to source for pizza delivery. The area (Harwood Heights), have a number of thin crust options - however, when it comes to stuffed, Suparossa stands alone. The "award-winning" term I feel is thrown around loosely, but think it's fairly accurate in this case in regards to their Spinach and Ricotta (I add sausage to the mix). Only downside would be the pricepoints, but as long as you take advantage of the $3 off coupon over $20 (on flier), it will match up with the area's competitors.

Their pizza is just awesome. It melts in your mouth. I only do take-out.

Great thin crust pizza, but I am completely addicted to the focaccia sandwiches! Unfortunately, it's hit or miss with the focaccia and other breads (garlic bread, other sandwiches, etc) - most of the time it's great, but sometimes the bread is so hard you swear you'd break a tooth. Also, sometimes you get more of a certain ingredient than other days - I think it depends on who's cooking when you order. I really wish there was more consistency because sometimes it's AMAZING and sometimes you wish you had gone elsewhere.

Everyone talks about the Deep Dish- I am one who enjoys their Thin Crust... its a great dealon Mondays - a Large 1 topping and a Liter of Coke ( not RC ) - $10.00!!! The sausage is incredible. Every Monday this is a no brainer

Superossa is a great Italian resturant with excellent stuffed pizza. I used to go to the lunch buffet quite often and eat myself into a food coma when I got back to work. I recommend the eggplant lasagna.

Suparossa obviously has great pizza, but I also enjoy their calamari. They have great dining options and their buffets are a steal. They also cater to events.

I didn't get the pizza here but I did get a seafood salad that was really good! I like the ambiance in here but the place was freezing when I went which sucked.

This place is Cucina Biagio and they serve Suparossa stuffed pizza here. Love that pizza. I had a cheese w/ garlic and Italian sausage pizza. It was delicious. It was baked to a perfect texture. The pizza sauce was aplenty which I prefer it that way. The sauce had a bit of a kick if you will and it tasted good. My only issue w/ the pizza was the size and thickness compared to its price. We ordered a 14" (x-large) and it looked like a medium sized pizza. It felt barely enough for three proper pizza consuming adults. I even checked with our server and he confirmed that it was 14" pizza. But anyway, I would definitely recommend trying this pizza. It's worth it. Service was good. The ambiance was nice. It's a family restaurant with nice decor and setting. Next time I'll go for the pasta.

After ordering a couple of times from here my opinion changed. Twice we got pizza with very hard crust and once we got a cold pizza. Unfortunately, I am not going to order from here again.

Pretty good! I was staying at a hotel by O'Hare, and they delivered at 2 a.m. Seriously great service. The pizza may not be the best Chicago has to offer, but when you're looking for a place to deliver your late night pizza needs out by the airport, Suparossa is a good choice.

Had the ribs twice and they were equally awesome both times. Competent and friendly service from the phone people and delivery driver. Can't think of a better place to get ribs delivered

Great location near Harlem and Lawrence with private lot and lots of parking. Nice greeting at door and were seated immediately on a Saturday night at 6pm. Not usually a good sign. To be clear, if you come to this restaurant you need to look for the "Cucina Biagio" sign. The Suparossa pizza take out is located in back and has a small sign. So the restaurant is clearly divided into two separate parts. Nicely decorated. Definitely not the pizza joint look. More nice Italian. Took a while before our waiter arrived. Our family has a sense of humor so restaurant deficiencies and minor mistakes will often be overlooked. So now the entertainment began and I'm not talking about a guy singing while he plays an electric piano. Our waiter was Mexican and his English was not great. No problem. I mean really, no problem. We speak Spanish so it's all good. The only reason I point out this observation is because he was a Hispanic man clearly pretending to be Italian. Not sure if he is instructed to do so or if this was his brainstorm but it was extremely odd. Let's call him JuanTony. With the enthusiasm one would expect from the hostess of a Christmas Eve party in a Taylor Street home JuanTony says "Welcome! Benvenuto!" with an elaborate display of arm waiving. "How youse guyzz doin tonight?" And I'm not kidding. I hope my writing clearly coveys my intention to show a heavy Italian mobster accent. And his hand is shaped like a gun and he is pointing at us with a smile. I look over to my ten year old and the look on her face was priceless. Picture the face of a child who for the first time is watching a cow give birth. My Italian/Greek wife's face was slack, mouth slightly open, body unmoving, and color draining from their face as she stared wide-eyed at JuanTony's finger gun. So I jump in character and reply "Hey, how youse doin?" And point my finger gun back at him. My twelve year old starts laughing. JuanTony asks about drinks. Wife asks for a nice glass of Italian Red and JuanTony doesn't understand. I translate and tell him Chianti and we're good. Drinks are slow to arrive then JuanTony asks about ordering. I explained that we ordered pizza ahead and would be eating it there. JuanTony didn't really like that. It wasn't overly obvious but the look on his face was clear. He asked about appetizers and I asked him to check on our pizza and to let us know when it would be ready. The Antipasti's sounded good but I didn't want to have the appetizer arrive at the same time as the pizza. JuanTony returned to tell us "tena minutes" with the fake accent and pulled out his order pad and asked how many appetizers we wanted. Too short of a time for this and we declined. JuanTony wasn't happy. Someone comes by and delivers a really nice little tray of olives, shredded Parmesan and garlic oil. We gobbled it up. A short while later JuanTony delivers our pizzas. We get a small stuffed extra cheese and a large stuffed sausage, onion and extra cheese. JuanTony walks away and we serve up the pizza ourselves. JuanTony returned a couple of minutes later and was disturbed that we were already eating and tries to serve us more pizza. I tell him that we're good and he again elaborately waives his arms and says "buon appetito" and points the finger gun at us again. Wife says "God rest his soul my father would have punched this guy right in the mouth." Let's get to the point and talk about the pizza. Deep dish pizza is as accurately named as any food I know. Even if you've never experienced one in person, you already know to expect something imposing and thick, with generous layers of sauce and cheese. You also know that eating one will leave you absolutely and completely full, perhaps uncomfortably so. All of this is true. Despite being called Stuffed pizza on the Suparossa menu the pizza here is deep dish. What truly sets stuffed pizza apart is an additional layer of dough above the cheese and below the sauce. Giordano's has the most famous stuffed in Chicago. The pizza was nothing special. Very thick flaky crust with ends taller than most deep dish. I'm not sure what it was about the cheese but it just wasn't that stretching gooey delicious kind we have grown to know and love. Sausage was good. Onions in a pizza are a must for me but in this pizza they were fairly flavorless. The sauce seemed dry and just not enough. I needed more. We never really bonded with JuanTony. I think he was disappointed when we only had pizza and didn't order off the much more expensive main restaurant menu. Great pizza would have significantly mitigated our entertaining but poor service. So Cucina Biagio/Suparossa and JuanTony we're sorry to report that we won't be back. With all the great pizza in Chicago we're crossing you off the list. Maybe the regular menu food is great, and I'm sorry now that we didn't try it, but skip the pizza. Mai più youse guys. And for JuanTony - Nunca mas.

This is my first and last experience with this restaurant. Placed my order at 7 pm today for one medium pizza. Waited until 8:30 pm to call and ask if my delivery was still on its way and was informed that he left at 7:53 pm with my order. Waited another of couple of minutes before canceling my order. They placed me on hold then transferred me to Jeremy (I'm assuming a manager) who gave no apology and no explanation. I was told to tell the driver that I cancelled my order if he came to my door. Apparently they don't communicate with their employees. Driver arrived at 8:40 pm and told me they were "busy". I'll take my money elsewhere.

We've been living in our new neighborhood for 6-7 months now and I still haven't found a good pizza delivery joint. I mean I did find one but the last couple times I ordered they changed their pizza crust and sauce and it's so not worth it anymore. Back to the drawing board. I was near the HIP and figured I could just pick up pizza on the way home. I noticed Cucina Biagio's has the Suparossa signage now and a random yelp review I read said that the pizza at this location is much better than the Portage Park Suparossa location. I was intrigued. So I ordered for pick up. Ordering by phone was a breeze, the lady was friendly on the phone and in person. They were spot on with the time quoted as well. I like how the pick-up area is separate from the restaurant because the restaurant looked really nice and I definitely would have been slumming it in my mommy uniform (sans make up, ponytail and leggings--not ashamed to admit it at all). The pizza smelled so good that my son asked for a piece to eat on the way home. Yep--I'm that kind of mom too. I helped myself to a piece as well and it was freakin delicious. Thin crust, sausage and mushroom. The ingredients were fresh and the sauce was a nice slightly tangy tomato sauce. My beef with my once favorite pizza joint was that the thin crust got too thin--almost like a cracker; not this pizza, it was thin but still held those ingredients well. I also ordered their fried calamari which I just found OK. A little too soft and the breading didn't seemed fried enough. My husband agreed that this was def better then the more local pizza places we've tried, I'm just sad that we're a bit outside of their delivery area. Insert sad trombone here.

They mislead in there advertising they say "Free 1 Liter of Cole with any order of $15.00" When you place a order from there weekly daily specials, they make up a excuse that doesn't not count on daily specials.Suparossa is in violation of the consumer law Fraud protection act.Very dishonest restaurant they are unqualified As a Rated Business.

The best pizza I've had in a long time! We ordered the Wise Guy(Italian Sausage, Italian Beef and giardiniera) as the "American Pie" and it was A TON of high quality food for a great price. The delivery was quick and our food was still nice and hot. I will definitely be coming back to this spot.

Great thin-crust pizza. The cheese is so salty and chewy and delicious! Very happy with them everytime. The Suparossa a few miles away on Central has TERRIBLE pizza. Avoid them and avoid the confusion!

I ordered late night delivery and the girl who took the order was amazing! She really went out of her way to make sure I got what I wanted. Shrimp and scallop flora tine with linguine in diablo sauce, instead of fettuccine in yuch! Alfredo! I don't know what the food will taste like, but service is so much more important now a days. Food is food. When you find quality employees, you need to appreciate them. That's what brings customers back again and again....Cy shim..PLUS LATE NIGHT DELIVERY,! While we stayed at aloft, ohare...no room service or dining...thank you girl!

With a 8am flight back to LAX the next morning, a responsible adult would have decided to take a shower, have a glass of wine and get to bed at a reasonable hour...Not this wandering fool! With so many amazing eats to try on my first trip to Chi-town, I decided to hold off on the dense, devilish pizza pie I've always wanted to try. BUT WAIT...DELIVERY! I searched for pizza options near Chicago O'Hare Airport and Suparossa was one of the few local places which stayed open beyond midnight. "It will be there in an hour and a half", the order-taker mentioned. I looked over at the clock...it was already 11:30. Only three hours of sleep before the flight home?!?!?! This shit better be good! Cheese, housemade sausage, pepperoni, green olives, mushrooms, cheese and a thick tomato sauce were layered in a deep pie crust. The flavors where on point -- especially the sausage! These artisanal links were loaded with fennel, love and premium-grade pork. I decided to go at the beast with a fork and knife like a true metrosexual. Yet my concern was not as much for keeping my face and clothing red-sauce free as it was for chowing down on the amazing flavor while avoiding the pizza dough. Unfortunately, 45 minutes didn't seem long enough for cooking the base portion of the pizza dough -- it was, without question, undercooked. But I didn't mind...I only had five hours before my TSA pat-down and "throwing away" are two words that are not in my everyday vocabulary. We had devoured the filling from all but two pieces as a late, indulgent YOLO dinner. Then, after a few hours sleep, I nuked the other 2 pieces and eat all of the vital (non-dough) goodness. Best deep dish in Chicago? Surely it was not. Yet I was satisfied to give a passable pie a try and in such a spontaneous way. Oh...and boy did it hold me over! Who needs airplane food anyways? Mehh cheese and fruit platter for $9? I think I'll pass.

The first time we ordered pizza from here, we didn't like it and haven't ordered it since. Well, that's about to change! On our way home from the Italian Fest on Taylor Street last Friday, Jason craved cheese ravioli. Unfortunately, most places which serve that were closed already. Fortunately, Yelp lists hours of operation for their establishments. We were delighted that Suparossa is open late on the weekends. I had a taste for pizza. I'm glad I gave this place a second chance. I ordered a 14" thin crust cheese pizza. By requesting for them to make it extra thin and crispy made all the difference! The tomato sauce has a nice kick of spiciness to it and it didn't give me heartburn. The pizza even tasted good cold, out from the refrigerator the next morning. To think, I almost ordered a small which wouldn't have beebln enough for sharing or saving for later. Instead of ordering my usual, meatball sandwich, I'll have to order an even bigger size (16" or 18") extra thin and crispy cheese pizza next time.

This is the best pizza in chicago(period) I suggest that you order the american pie pizza. This has been a family secret for the past 15 years. There are many Suparossa Pizza joint throughout the Chicagoland, but i recommend that you "do" the Harwood Heights location.

As good as it gets for thin crust carry-out. Their "football field" sized pizza is easy to overdose on!

New to the area. Needed pizza. Easy to find, easy transaction over phone, delivery on time and wow was the pizza good. I mean really good. So glad we found this place first. We were worried two large pizzas (4 people) was going to be too much. Only had 4 pieces left. It was so good we couldn't stop eating. Nicely done!

Now I'm not too sure why there are two entries for this place in yelp, but I'll review in this one because I dined in the ristorante last night. I've ordered pizza from here several times, and while not my favorite pizza in the area, I do like the food. My short review: Good food, big portions, awesome bread, great friendly service, reasonable prices, pasta pasta pasta! Full review: I went with my fiance on a Monday night. Staff was very friendly and attentive but not over bearing at all. The bread they serve is oh so good. warm and soft in the center, crispy on the outside. Accompanied with a serving dish of oil, cheese, and olives...it's a great start to any meal in my book. I opted out of drinks, but my fiance had the house Shiraz, which she said was good. We skipped appetizers, and settled for salad and pasta. Salad was typical. I enjoyed mine with a garlic dressing that was tasty, but not over garlicky. Next came pasta. Going with my fiance's suggestion, I got the Square Pasta with pomodoro sauce topped with fresh roccetta cheese. Behind it's obvious name, it's actually nothing more than a fabulous deconstructed lasagna. Fresh tomato's, great cheese, well cooked pasta. Recommend and reorder? Absolutely! My future better half opted for the Tortellini and sausage in a spinach butter/oil/broth sauce. She thought it was just ok and ended up convincing me to switch mid way through our meal. I'm glad she did, because I got to eat two very well made pasta dishes. I have never had that combination before and it struck me a new and exciting pasta dish that I would like to try out at home. The sausage was sliced, the spinach was chopped and I am looking forward to eating the leftovers tonight. Did I mention the servings are very generous? Well they are and that makes me happy! Recommend and reorder? You bet ya!

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
